Perhaps I should spend 2017 researching the posts of Carol, Mudra, and Brook (in the original Project Avalon, and the present Mists of Avalon). I'm Sirius. I don't have internet at home (which helps me regulate my time online), so watching those long videos might be a challenge. Thank-you Carol, Mudra, and Brook for all your hard-work and excellent-posts!

There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year he won the award for the best grown corn. One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked.

“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”

So is with our lives... Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all...
    -Call it power of collectivity...
-Call it a principle of success...
-Call it a law of life.
The fact is, none of us truly wins, until we all win!!

    My heARt

I painted these at the turn of the century. They are vistas to another world of peace and serenity where flowers, birds, trees and gentle animals live together in harmony. The abode of Consciousness and Love.
Here you may enter and sit for while, refresh yourself, put your burdens aside and let your spirit soar Enlightened

    Enjoy Cheerful

Seventeen years since the turn of the century... where did the time go ? No doubt that your beautiful paintings were inspired. And the abode of Consciousness and Love sounds a lot like Heaven : )

Love the story about the good farmer who shared his best seeds with his neigbours because he knew the quality he gave would come around to his field.
That is my kind of spirituality grounded in practical reality.

I am reminded of those words which someone spoke... "Love your neighbour as your self".

After a downhill biking accident, Johanna Nordblad thought she might lose her leg. Doctors had to leave the fracture open for 10 days to avoid necrosis. In a last ditch effort, to save the limb, they tried a painful cold-water treatment.

That experience, eventually, led her to develop a passion for swimming under frozen lakes -- just holding her breath. Today, she holds the world-record for freediving 50-meters under ice wearing only a swimsuit.

A Finnish woman swims in a frozen lake to treat her broken leg. When she jumps in, I'm speechless.

10+ Badass Trees That Refuse To Die No Matter What

Trees have been around for about 370 million years, and as you can from these incredible pictures, there's a good reason why they've survived for so long. Whether they're growing in the middle of gale-force winds, on the tops of rocky platforms, inside concrete tunnels, or even growing out of each other, trees know how to survive in places that few living organisms can, which explains why the planet is host to around 3 trillion adult trees that cover an estimated 30% of the earth's land. Considering that plants produce the vast majority of the oxygen that we breathe, we should all think ourselves very fortunate that trees are as resilient as they are. We wouldn't even be here if they weren't. Thanks guys!
